Emptiness Rohan Rathore lyrics
Emptiness!!(Lonely) Rohan Rathore IIT Guwahati (Lyrics)
[tune mere jana kabhi nahi jana ishq mera dard mera..]
A song sung by ROHAN RATHORE from IIT Guwahati and he was suffering from cancer. He sang this song for Supriya a girl he loved more than anything and anyone in the world. Unfortunately she didn't return his love but this song was something he felt he had to do. He died just 15 days after recording this song. ( awesome song!! ♥ ♥ )
Oh love of mine, with a song and a whine,
You're harsh and divine like truths and a lie.
But the tale ends not here
I have nothing to fear
for my love is a yell of forgiving and hold on.
In the bright emptiness, in a room full of it,
is a cruel mistress - my heart!
I feel this unrest, that nests all hollowness,
for I have nowhere to go and I'm cold.
And I feel so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness.
And I'm so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness yeah...
Aa.. aa.. aa...
Tune mere jaana.., kabhi nahin jaana..,
Ishq mera, dard mera.. haaye..
Tune mere jaana, kabhi nahin jaana,
Ishq mera, dard mera
Aashiq tera...
Bheed mein khoya rehta hai...
Jaane jahaan....
Poocho toh itna kehta hai -
That I feel so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness...
And I'm so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness yeah... ya..
Aa.. aa.. aa...
/*English Translation of the Hindi Section of the Song*/
Tune mere jaana, kabhi nahin jaana, (You, my love, have never ever realized)
Ishq mera, dard mera (my love, my pain)
Tune mere jaana, kabhi nahin jaana, (You, my love, have never ever realized)
Ishq mera, dard mera (my love, my pain)
Aashiq tera... (Your lover)
Bheed mein khoya rehta hai... (remains lost in the crowd)
Jaane jahaan.... (My dear love, wherever ...)
Poocho toh itna kehta hai - (... asked, he just says ...)
That I feel so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness.
And I'm so lonely yeah...
There's a better place than this: emptiness yeah...

Met a girl n thought she was grand!!
Last day of 3rd semester. Everybody around was jubiliant as next 40 days were assured to be fun filled. Same was in my mind n soul. 4 dayz later had a train back to home. All friendz had left before n I was the last to go home n it became a ritual for me to leave last (i too dont know the reason..). boarded the train as scheduled n after a marathon journey of pathetic 29 hrs. Stepped down at Delhi at 5:30 pm. Delhi’s chill had started wrapping into its engulf by that tym. Had a connecting train to Alwar at 9:00 pm. Fog n mist were in the air thus making the surroundings more cold n lovable(i was freezing though!!!... :P). Felt an deep urge to have a coffee but decided to postpone d plan n put my headphones n starting glancing through novel “Chicken soup for the soul” sitting on one f the busiest railway platforms of India. Crowd n noise around were really annoying .Things went on and after 20 minutes or so, a feminine voice distracted me from my reading delight. I looked up and away from the book and found a girl of age 22 something(m predicting a female’s age... commiting a cardinal sin... :P) was standing n uttered “plz will u remove ur bag from the bench!!”. I had kept my bag also on the bench as if my Dad has brought me the railway bench along with the ticket. I removed it , she made space for herself and sat next to me with her handbag between both of us. Clad in lavender suit she appeared as a student of some reputed Management school. Plz dont look for description of that gal,, describing a girl is not my cup of tea...i can only say tat she was pretty.. hehehe.. anyways, i tried to concentrate back to my book reading. My phone rang n it was mummy enquiring about my well being n talked to me for about 2-3 minutes. I was about to keep my phone back into pocket n the gal sitting next to me broke the ice n chirped in her low pitched voice..”kya tym ho rha h abhi??”. I replied “ its 6:30”. “OMG!!... i have a lot more time to wait for my train”... she said. I smiled n went back to the book. then again she interrupted in my book reading n asked “where r u goin??”. Got frustated to hear this n hiding my frustation I replied “Alwar”. She said ‘ok”..not being rude i also asked “where r u goin??”. “m going to Guwahati”.. she said smiling. I also smiled back. We both had to travel alone but for me it was a affair of just 3 more hours to Alwar but she had a long way to go. Anyways at tym mist of cloud couldn’t resist more n bursted in form of rain showers. This winter rain of Delhi reminded me of “November Rains” one of the classiscs of Guns n Roses. Though I was sittin under TIN shade but water was dripping outta small crevices in the tin shade so had to search for ssafer palce for shelter. I lifted my bag n she too felt the same n came along with me. After searching for 5 minutes we both went into a the nescafe coffee outlet at platform which serves as a best CAFE ala CARTE in our college. Now, I was happy to have a company of someone atleast fo some time.... (contd.)..
PS1: wat happnd in coffee shop to b followed in next post.
PS2: this incidence has no relavance with my life anymore. As its ending will suggest the same, which is up for next post.

The Ode to Endless Ladder!!!
The ladder never ends. As you climb up rungs and live under the illusion or fallacy that you’ve secured one more victory in life, you look skywards and realize the ladder just got longer, the end somewhere out of sight, beyond the clouds…
All your life you can keep climbing the ladder in the quest to reach the top and never get there! This can be perceived in two ways – the optimist’s dream and the pessimist’s nightmare. The optimist sees this as ambition – a way to push oneself towards achieving more and more. The pessimist knows that this means being insatiable – never satisfied with what one has in life.
While on the way up, a hand may be extended at you for help. Grab it and help, because one good turn deserves another. Once you are higher, you might need a helping hand yourself. It is also true that at every rung scaled, a mad multitude of hands will crop out of nowhere to rip, drag & pummel you down. For just as one person’s manna is another person’s poison, likewise the success of one indeed poisons the minds of many. While many take joy in the success of one, there are others who do not think of how to replicate such success for themselves but plot how to displace the one who’s higher up somewhere on the ladder. Terminally, the seeds of misery are sown & the chalice of woe tipped over. No one emerges a winner. But in the Almighty’s courtyard, there will be justice for all. For one cannot wage a war against one’s destiny, and what is fated to happen shall play itself out.
Is it the need to survive that drives many to entrench self & others in miseries of their own making? A lesson needs to be learnt - Survival is not the sole mantra. Surviving peacefully, with contentment & without malice towards others is! And this will give you what no amount of wealth or fame can provide – adoration & respect of loved ones and the greatest treasure of them all – Happiness.
